We all have that pesky inner voice—the one that pipes up every so often, whether we want it to or not.
Well, in a new video, Vogue’s November cover star, Jenna Ortega, goes one-on-one with her own. And we mean that quite literally.
“When I prepare for a scene, I just think of every embarrassing thing that you’ve ever done, because there’s a lot,” Ortega’s inner self—whom Ortega usually tries to “keep on mute”—says, weighing in on everything from Ortega’s iconic sense of style (we don’t think Ortega ever “looks a mess,” but you presumably know best, inner voice!) to Ortega’s tendency to cry when she’s tired (relatable).
No spoilers, but by the end of the shoot, Ortega and her inner self manage to come to a kind of detente, with one of them—we won’t say who—proclaiming: “I think that this has gone pretty well.” We agree! Watch the full video for yourself above.
