Calling all JISOO fans: Dazed and Salomon have come together to make something you are going to want to get your hands on. For their new campaign, In the Open, we partnered with the brand and the pop star to create a limited-edition zine that celebrates JISOO’s world and winter in South Korea, from its mountains and forests to the buzzing streets of Seoul.
Today, the line between technical gear and fashion has never been blurrier, and trail running shoes are just as popular in cities as in the mountains. For Salomon, this evolution has moved the brand well beyond the traditional boundaries of performance.
Technical expertise remains at its core, but it's increasingly embedded in contemporary culture, embraced by a new generation that sees no contradiction between functional design and a carefully considered outfit, or between hitting the trails and getting dressed up for a Saturday in the city. That shifting landscape is reflected in our new zine with Salomon, which features an exclusive interview and photoshoot with JISOO, work by South Korean photographer Hasisi Park, and much more.
Across its pages, the publication explores the increasingly fluid relationship between outdoor culture, fashion, and everyday life, and how people are finding their own routes through all three. These ideas have a particular resonance in South Korea, where K-hiking has exploded in popularity among young people in recent years.
