As far as couple style goes, Jennifer Lawrence and Cooke Maroney are usually on the same page. Between date nights and strolls around the city, the pair are defined by their cool, casual tastes: tees, jeans, and button-ups are staples in both their wardrobes.
This morning, just a week after their seventh wedding anniversary, Lawrence and Maroney took the next step in their couple style evolution, coordinating in Vans. Lawrence wore black Authentic lace-ups while Maroney went for the Old Skools with the telltale white stripe.
But don’t expect these two to look like they just rolled in from the Venice Skatepark; Lawrence and Maroney seamlessly incorporated their Vans into their city-slicker couple style, bringing just a touch of Southern California cool to their autumnal wardrobes.
It’s a welcome way to hold onto the slower SoCal lifestyle—and the temperate weather—as New York bundles up for fall. Lawrence worked the skater staple into her eclectic wardrobe, layering a puffy camel coat with a shawl collar over an ecru sweater and long white button-up with light-wash jeans.
She accessorized with a pair of slim sunglasses and an oversized onyx pendant on a cord. Maroney, meanwhile, went for an all-black look with a duster with a popped collar and pants.
Both Lawrence and Maroney are Vans fans: earlier this month, she opted for embellished black and navy slip-ons while he’s also known to rock the dove gray Old Skools. But today, in their matching black Vans, these two are perfectly in step.
