For fashion enthusiasts who spent their youth saving archive imagery of nineties icons, tastemakers and visionaries at legendary fashion week afterparties, there remains a deep nostalgia for the sort of pre-social media celebrations that you just had to be at. On Saturday evening, Dazed’s Jefferson Hack and Mike Amiri held an intimate gathering that revived that very same blend of high sophistication and lively energy the capital has been crying out for.
Following an event in Amiri’s first London flagship store, which opened earlier this year, fashion crowds and friends of the brand ended the night at Mark’s Club, a private members’ club in Mayfair.
From DJ sets by Benji B to all the artists in attendance, here is everything that went down.
Tucked away in a Mayfair townhouse, the party was hosted at Mark’s Club. Just a couple of years after the club’s interior restoration, the space’s original 1970s decor was the perfect backdrop for the soirée. Whether guests wanted discreet seats for an end-of-night DMC or the kind of dim, sultry lighting that makes everyone look good, the space had something for everyone.
An eclectic mix of rising stars and industry icons spanning fashion, music, art, and culture gathered for the occasion, with attendees such as Sasha Keable, Lancey Foux, John Glacier, Lennon Gallagher, Adot Gak, Hamish Powell, Cat Burns, Qendresa, Jordan Hemingway, Sebastian Konrad, Cristale, sinn6r and Venna.
Joining them were prominent designers, visual artists, musicians, media leaders and tastemakers including Alexander Fury, Ellie Grace Cumming, Tim Blanks, Imran Amed, Jenn Nkiru, Victor Kunda, Strandz, Supriya Lele, Ancuta Sarca, Snake Denton, Nil Mutluer, Reuben Larkin, Rahi Chadda, Louis Powell, Hayett McCarthy, Gareth McConnell, Caius Pawson, Ben Kelly, Benji Krol, Betty Bachz, Daniel Edwards, Ottawakwami and Marcus Pancho.
Throughout the night, attendees danced to sets by guest DJs Benji B, Acyde, and FAUZIA.
Guests also enjoyed a curated cocktail menu featuring classic serves including the Negroni, Martini and Margarita.
