Last Wednesday (September 30), Dazed staged a free magazine drop in collaboration with Dover Street Market Paris. The event celebrated our New Idols autumn 2026 issue, and specifically the covers featuring Comme des Garçons and Matières Fécales.
In a stacked issue featuring GTA VI , Ethel Cain , V and more, the two covers being handed out were among the highlights. The Comme des Garçons cover features a look from the house’s AW26 collection, a pink construction so beautiful it made one Dazed fashion editor burst into tears when she first saw it.
Inside, Rei Kawakubo granted a rare interview , where she spoke about AI, her affinity for black (“the colour of resistance, of justice and of independence”), and the advice she’d give to young designers.
The Matières Fécales cover story , meanwhile, offered an in-depth insight into the rising provocateurs behind some of the most talked-about collections in recent memory. Bhaskaran and Dalton went deep on their personal backgrounds, inspirations and relationship with each other, while addressing some of the criticisms that have been levelled at them (namely, that their satirical work has been embraced too readily by the very elites it is intended to critique).
Shot by Shahram Saadat, the cover features a striking image of Billy, a model and one of the duo’s frequent collaborators, on the streets of Paris. Both covers, along with every other edition of the Autumn 2026 New Idols issue, are available to purchase here .
