Flashback to the summer of 2022, and Barbiecore was simply everywhere. Thanks to the hype around Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster film Barbie, fashion shifted to an all-pink-everything approach: Margot Robbie then almost exclusively wore the bubblegum shade on her press tour, and soon after, the runways and street style scene followed suit.
And now, four years later, Lisa just revived Barbie style at Paris Fashion Week.
Yesterday in the City of Light, the singer attended Louis Vuitton’s spring 2027 show, and her after-party look was serving up classic Barbie. Her shrunken two-piece skirt suit—the jacket cropped to reveal her abs, the skirt extra-mini—perfectly encapsulated the cartoonish silhouette that Barbie so often rocks. And in typical doll fashion, she wore sky-high heels to complete the ensemble, as well as one of Vuitton’s signature monogrammed bags.
Lisa’s look for the LV show may have been way less pink, meanwhile, but it was still very much Barbie-coded. Her heavily-ruffled Vuitton top and leather skirt is precisely the kind of thing you’d dress up your favorite doll in. It’s bold, slightly over-the-top, and definitely fabulous.
If Gerwig ever decides to film a sequel to her Barbie hit (we’re waiting!), then we know who should be one of her first calls: Cast Lisa ASAP. She could easily be Pop Star Barbie. Or better yet, Fashionista Barbie!
