Dakota Johnson is a woman of many talents. And tonight, at the 2026 Video Music Awards, Taylor Swift will reveal another one of Johnson’s many gifts: Video vixen.

Before the premiere of the “Patient Zero” music video—which has lyrics like “If you’re sick of him, I got you, I was patient zero”—Johnson walked the VMAs famed red carpet (which is actually turquoise) at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. For the night, she chose a Valentino white sequin column gown.

She wore her hair long and loose with a tiny bit of a curl, and finished off the look with a diamond tennis necklace.

“Taylor Swift is a storyteller,” Johnson said while presenting the inaugural Artist Director Honors of the singer. “She captures universal feelings.” When Johnson passed over the award to Swift it was truly a perfect bangs convention.

Later in the evening, we can expect Swift to both to accept the first-ever award for Artist Director Honors, as well as show the “Patient Zero” video. From what we’ve seen so far, Johnson is matching Swift’s signature beauty look—a velvety red lip—and Colin Farrell looks great in a black turtleneck. More to be revealed.
