The Nike Shox Z Calistra made a super-slick debut earlier this year (really, it was a revival of the early-2000s Swoosh ballet shoe). The model has now entered its plush era.
The original sleek leather uppers? Forget about them. The newest pairs come covered with burgundy velvet. The futuristic molding and even the signature Mary Jane strap are still there; they're just now also decked out in the ultra-soft material.
And Nike's Calistra keeps its unmistakable Shox columns, which essentially turn the shoe into a kitten-heel Mary Jane sneaker .
We've seen silver-coated versions and even polka-dotted, quadruple-laced Shox Z Calistras before. But this is the first true material swap for the model, and admittedly it looks pretty good. No notes.
Interestingly, there's barely any info on the velvet shoes right now, not even a release date. But with the weather cooling down and official imagery already out, it's safe to assume they'll drop very soon on Nike's website .
