Bang & Olufsen. The Beosound A1 (3rd Gen) in Eucalyptus Green is a portable Bluetooth speaker made for shared moments, wherever people gather. bang-olufsen.com
Technology is routinely blamed for pulling us apart, yet every meaningful innovation begins with the same ambition: to help us share, create and experience life more fully together. The devices may change, but the instinct behind them remains the same. For years, we have been told that technology is replacing human connection. Screens have become the convenient villain, blamed for distance, distraction and isolation.
Yet technology has never really been the destination. It has always been the bridge.
A camera freezes a memory before it slips away. A speaker fills a room with a soundtrack everyone can share.
A games console turns strangers into teammates and friends into rivals. Virtual reality invites us to experience the impossible, while wearable technology helps us better understand ourselves and those closest to us.
The devices may differ, but the purpose behind them remains remarkably consistent: connection.

This summer, Dyson has decided that your hair dryer finally deserves its own passport. The new Supersonic Travel arrives just in time to become the ultimate holiday companion, packing the brand’s famously hight tech features into a multi-voltage frame that is 32 per cent smaller and 25 per cent lighter than the original 2016 model. Looking at the campaign, you might even get the impression that travelling with it has somehow made gravity optional.
Weighing not much more than a can of soda, the compact dryer has been designed for everything from airport mornings to weekend escapes, fitting neatly into handbags, cabin luggage and carry-ons. More importantly, its global voltage compatibility means it automatically adapts to the country you have landed in, so there is no need to discover that your luxe hair dryer has become an expensive paperweight halfway through a trip.
“We didn’t just shrink a dryer, we re-engineered it for travel,” says James Dyson, Founder and Chief Engineer. “The Supersonic Travel delivers high-performance styling while protecting hair from extreme heat. It is built for performance, portability and hair health.”
Indeed, Dyson’s intelligent heat control measures airflow temperature 100 times per second to prevent excessive heat exposure, while precisely controlled airflow is designed to dry hair quickly and evenly while helping maintain its natural shine. Attachment loyalty is also encouraged, as the Supersonic Travel is compatible with attachments from existing Supersonic and Supersonic Nural dryers. Your favourite diffuser or styling tool can therefore come along for the ride too, without requiring its own suitcase.
The Supersonic Travel is available now with a Styling concentrator in Ceramic Pink and Rose Gold. Additional attachments including the Diffuser, Wide-tooth comb, Flyaway smoother and Gentle air attachment are also available separately.

If your current speaker setup keeps giving you ‘Green Light’ when you’re really after something closer to ‘Ordinary People,’ Bang & Olufsen may have found the perfect new voice. The Danish luxury audio house has appointed EGOT-winning musician John Legend as its new Global Brand Ambassador, kicking off a two-year partnership centred around the brand’s long-standing philosophy of ‘Beautiful Sound.’
The collaboration pairs one of music’s most recognisable voices with a company that has spent more than a century refining how people experience it. Legend, who recently returned as a coach for Season 29 of ‘The Voice,’ has been a longtime Bang & Olufsen owner, making the partnership feel like a natural next step.
“Bang & Olufsen has been one of my favourite audio brands for years. […] I’ve always been drawn to the way they combine beautiful sound with timeless design,” says Legend. “I love that Bang & Olufsen approaches both sound and design with the same level of care and craftsmanship, creating products that are as beautiful to live with as they are to listen to.
I’m thrilled to be partnering with the brand because we share a passion for creativity, quality and creating experiences that connect with people on an emotional level.”
The admiration goes both ways. Interim CEO Nikolaj Wendelboe describes Legend as “an artist whose work reflects a rare balance of discipline and emotional openness,” adding that both share the belief that “music should be felt as much as it is heard.”
Across the next two years, the partnership will unfold through curated performances, cultural collaborations and storytelling projects celebrating the emotional connection between music, craftsmanship and design. After all, there are few better ways to test a speaker than putting ‘All of Me’ through it.

Lighting design so often falls into the trap of neat symmetry or safe technique. Occhio , however, never fails to amaze us. The Munich brand has unveiled the new Coro Moon Wave , a three-dimensional wave of illumination carving through interior space.
The “culture of light” philosophy that has characterised Occhio since Axel Meise launched it back in 1999 serves as the clear blueprint. Intuition, optics and aesthetic form operate as one, interconnected to build this sculptural system.
Building upon the established Coro Moon family, the system suspends individual Coro Moon Sospeso luminaires in a continuous, flowing wave. Standard setups arrive in arrangements of 21, 27 or 33 individual light points, though Occhio’s in-house design team crafts custom configurations for large dining areas, hotels or spacious architectural projects.
Floating weightlessly mid-air, the individual glass heads outline a sweeping curve across the room, functioning as a synchronised constellation rather than a series of detached lamps.
Engineered around patented Fireball optics, each luminaire projects focused, functional light onto surfaces below while enveloping surrounding walls in a soft, glare-free halo. Operating the system feels remarkably fluid: there are touchless gesture sensors that let people adjust brightness, shift colour temperature or trigger saved moods with a simple wave of the hand.
Integrated smart synchronisation ensures every light point mirrors adjustments instantly across the entire installation, giving the impression of a single breathing organism. Colour shifts effortlessly from crisp daytime clarity down to an intimate ‘X-tra Warm’ mode that recreates the soft amber glow of candlelight.
Dynamic programming elevates the experience even further. Suspended light sources can execute slow, choreographed waves of illumination, creating gentle shifts in atmosphere throughout an evening. Subtle movements transform the surrounding architecture over time, shifting the room’s personality without requiring a single piece of furniture to move.
The Coro Moon Wave is available to order through premium retail partners or directly via the official Occhio Product Store, while bespoke arrangements can be mapped out globally at the brand’s primary flagship spaces in Berlin, Munich and Milan.
